Beechworth Secondary College strives for strong academic Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and Vocational Major (VCE VM) results, and students at our college have been able to access significant tertiary scholarships and achieve Premier’s Awards for academic excellence. Our student alumni have experienced success in many fields locally, around Australia and overseas.
The two main certificates that are available to senior students at Beechworth Secondary College are:
Both certificates are complemented by VET – Vocational Education and Training certificate options that are supported by external TAFE providers and on site delivery.
It is very important to carefully consider your course and subject selection and discuss options with all the appropriate teachers before making decisions. It is also important to be informed about prerequisite studies for courses you are considering.
The VPC – Vocational Pathways Certificate can be offered to meet individual student needs, if required. Senior School Leaders can provide information about this pathway to families as needed.
VCE Subjects contribute to a study score and ATAR or can be completed as part of the VM as non scored options
VET subjects can be accessed by VCE and VM students as scored or non scored options.
VPC course does not require a VET study to be completed.
All courses are designed to be completed over 2 years
