Student leaders at Beechworth Secondary College are ambassadors and role models who embody our school values and expectations. They provide an important student voice with unique perspectives on learning, teaching and school life. Student insights are invaluable to the college leadership and help ensure that student issues are heard and addressed.
At Beechworth Secondary College, students at all year levels can nominate for leadership roles. An in depth process of selection occurs for leadership roles, including an interview with the principal, a speech to the student body and student and teacher preference voting (School Captain roles only).
Our House Captains play an important role in helping to build school spirit and pride and encouraging others to participate in school events. Our House Captains, with support from the Year 12 students, run weekly lunch time activities, including the very popular indoor soccer club.
