Year 9 Future Makers Camp 2021

Future Makers – Camp/ Hike

Outdoor School is a P-12 Residential School within the Victorian Department of Education & Training, located in the North-East of Victoria. The Future Maker program aims to develop future-ready young people while educating for sustainable living. It challenges students to become initiators, leaders and managers of change in a world where they have the ability to influence their own futures.

The content for the program is divided into 6 capability areas. These are: Personal, Social, Critical and Creative thinking, Outdoor experience, Nature and cultural knowledge, and Future thinking. The work that students will complete in class will build their knowledge and experience in all of these areas.

In addition to the regular classes in school, there is a 12 day camp at the Bogong Campus. The dates for this are from May 17th until May 28th. All Year 9 students at Beechworth S.C. are expected to attend as this will take the place of the regular school program at BSC.

We will hold a parent information session for the camp between 7-8:30pm on Thursday 25th March, to answer any questions you may have about the camp aspect of the program. All parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend.
